Fire

By September 20, 2015No Comments

From February until March, there is a risk that some local people will burn the forest undergrowth. This has been practiced for centuries, but is slowly being prevented by the authorities. The only real risk to tourists is from smoke (although it generally clears quickly). The fires are tame since only the fallen leaves are burnt (the trees are resistant to fire). The staff will extinguish fires that encroach on Lanna Hill House.

There are a number of fire extinguishers and smoke alarms around the house. Please familiarise yourself with their location.
